THE FOREIGN AND COLONIAL PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (No. 1) WARRANT, 1924. DATED 3RD APRIL, 1924. | ||
I, the Minister for Finance of the Irish Free State, in exercise of all powers now vested in me by the Post Office Acts, 1908 to 1920, the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do, by this Warrant, made on the representation of the Postmaster-General (testified by his signing the same), order, direct, and declare as follows:— | ||
1. This Warrant shall be read as one with the Foreign and Colonial Parcel Post Warrant, 1921, S.R. and O., 1921, No. 1513, hereinafter called "the Principal Warrant." | ||
2. There shall be charged on each incoming parcel from certain countries, the names of which shall be published from time to time by the Postmaster-General in "Iris Oifigiúil," a delivery charge. The amount of such charge in each case shall be published in "Iris Oifigiúil," but shall in no case exceed one shilling. Such delivery charge shall be paid by the addressee in addition to any other charges payable on such parcel. | ||
3. Regulation 3, paragraph (2) of the Principal Warrant shall have effect as though the words, "Iris Oifigiúil," were substituted for the words, "London Gazette" and "Gazette," respectively, where they occur, and as though the words, "and of delivery charges" were inserted therein after the word "postage," where it firstly and secondly occurs. | ||
4. This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign and Colonial Parcel Post Amendment (No. 1) Warrant, 1924. | ||
5. This Warrant shall come into operation on the 19th day of April, 1924. | ||
