WHEREAS in pursuance of section 86 of the Local Government Act, 1925 , the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, by an Order under his Seal of Office, bearing date the 29th day of October, 1925, entitled the Local Government (Application and Adaptation of Enactments) Order, 1925, did amongst other things apply the enactments set forth in the First Schedule to the said Order to boards of health : | ||
AND WHEREAS it is expedient to apply to boards of health the provisions of Article 7 of the Local Government (Application of Enactments) Order, 1898 : | ||
AND WHEREAS Article 7 of the said Order is an existing enactment relating to county or district councils : | ||
NOW, THEREFORE, I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (1) of section 86 of the Local Government Act, 1925 , do hereby order and declare as follows, that is to say :— | ||
Article 7 of the Local Government (Application of Enactments) Order, 1898, shall apply to the election of a member of a board of health and the election of a board of health in like manner as it applies to the election of a member of a district council and the election of a district council with such modifications as may be necessary and in particular with the modification that references in the said Article to " the Act " shall be construed as including references to the Local Government Act, 1925 , and any enactment amending the same. | ||
