CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 15, FIRST PERIOD, ADDITIONAL QUOTA) ORDER, 1935. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (4) of section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), that whenever the Executive Council has, by order made under that section, appointed a quota in respect of any quota period, the Executive Council may, if they so think fit, by order made before the expiration of such quota period increase such quota by such amount (in that Act referred to as an additional quota) as they think proper : | ||
AND WHEREAS by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15, First Period) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 75 of 1935), made under the said section 6, the Executive Council appointed the period beginning on the 1st day of May, 1935, and ending on the 30th day of June, 1935, to be the first quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 65 of 1935), and appointed a total amounting to seventy thousand articles (being inner tubes of any of the descriptions specified in the Schedule to the last-mentioned Order) to be the quota in respect of the said first quota period : | ||
NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the power conferred on them by subsection (4) of section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15, First Period, Additional Quota) Order, 1935. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The quota appointed by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15, First Period) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 75 of 1935), in respect of the first quota period appointed by that Order is hereby increased by thirty-one thousand articles, being inner tubes of any of the descriptions specified in the Schedule to the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 65 of 1935), to the intent that the said thirty-one thousand articles shall be an additional quota in respect of the said first quota period and the total quota in respect of the said first quota period shall be one hundred and one thousand articles, being inner tubes of one or more of the descriptions specified in the Schedule to the last-mentioned Order. | ||
