PUBLIC HEALTH (INFECTIOUS DISEASES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1945.

| | PUBLIC HEALTH (INFECTIOUS DISEASES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1945.

| | WHEREAS in pursuance of the Public Health Acts, 1878 to 1931, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (hereinafter referred to as " the Minister ") did by the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) Regulations, 1941, make provision for the notification, prevention and treatment of certain epidemic, endemic or infectious diseases as therein provided :

| | AND WHEREAS the disease known as " scabies " is an infectious disease :

| | AND WHEREAS it is expedient in every urban sanitary district to extend the application of the said Regulations to the said disease of scabies :

| | AND WHEREAS the powers and duties of the Minister under the Public Health Acts, 1878 to 1931 are delegated by the Local Government and Public Health (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1944, to Francis Constantine Ward, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister (hereinafter referred to as " the Parliamentary Secretary ") :

| | NOW THEREFORE the Parliamentary Secretary in exercise of the powers vested in the Minister of the Public Health Acts, 1878 to 1931, and by virtue of the aforesaid delegation and of all other powers in that behalf enabling him hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say :—

| | 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) Regulations, 1945.
|
| | 2. The provisions of the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) Regulations, 1941, shall in their application to every urban sanitary district have effect as if disease known as " scabies " were included among the diseases mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Regulations, and the said Regulations shall be read and construed accordingly.

| | 3. The Public Health (Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1943, are hereby revoked.
|
