The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the joint operation of subsection (1) of section 46 of the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (No. 7 of 1942), the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952), and the Social Welfare (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 1) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 18 of 1947 ), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, and with the concurrence of the Minister for Finance, hereby makes the following regulations :-- |

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (Amendment of Rates of Supplementary Benefit) Regulations, 1954. |
||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 3rd day of January, 1955. |
||
2. The Third Schedule to the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (No. 7 of 1942), as amended by the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (Amendment of Rates of Supplementary Benefit) Regulations, 1951 ( S. R. & O. No. 366 of 1951 ), is hereby amended-- |
||
(a) by substituting an hourly rate of supplementary benefit of 2s. 3d. for the rate of 2s. 0d., and |
||
(b) by substituting an hourly rate of supplementary benefit of 1s. 6d. for the rate of 1s. 3d., and |
||
(c) by substituting an hourly rate of supplementary benefit of 9d. for the rate of 6d. |
