HARBOUR RATES (BUNCRANA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1956. |

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), hereby order as follows : |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Buncrana Harbour) Order, 1956. |
||
2. This Order shall come into operation on the sixteenth day of August, 1956. |
||
3. The Schedule to the Buncrana Harbour Order, 1929 (confirmed by the Pier and Harbour Provisional Order Confirmation Act, 1929 (No. 3 (Private) of 1929)), is hereby amended as follows : |
||
(1) at Head I (a)--tonnage dues on vessels other than fishing vessels loading or discharging--by the substitution of 9d. per ton for 6d. per ton ; |
||
(2) At Head III--goods rates-- |
||
(i) by the deletion of the reference to coals in Item (a) (1), |
||
(ii) by the insertion of the following : |
||
" (12) Coals, per ton 9d. |
||
(13) Molasses, per ton 1s." ; |
||
(iii) by the substitution, in Item (c) (2) (Heavy Goods), of 1s. per ton for 8d. per ton. |
||
4. The maximum rate to be charged by the Buncrana Harbour Commissioners for the deposit of coal on the quays shall be 1s. per square yard for three months or part thereof and Revised Harbour Bye-Law 30, made by the Commissioners on the 13th day of July, 1949, is modified accordingly. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
This Order fixes revised maximum rates which may be charged by the Buncrana Harbour Commissioners as and from the 16th August, 1956. |
