JURIES (COUNTY BOROUGH OF CORK) ORDER, 1961. |

WHEREAS it is enacted by paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 2 of the Juries Act, 1961 (No. 11 of 1961), that, where there are two or more jury districts in a county to which that subsection relates, the Minister for Justice may by order from time to time, as and when he shall think fit, specify a jury district or jury districts in the county for the purposes of subsection (1) of that section: |

AND WHEREAS the said subsection (2) relates to the county of Cork: |

AND WHEREAS by virtue of the Jury Districts Order (No. 2), 1927 (Variation No. 2) Order, 1961, there are six jury districts in the county of Cork: |

NOW, I, OSCAR TRAYNOR, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 2 of the Juries Act, 1961 (No. 11 of 1961), hereby order as follows: |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Juries (County Borough of Cork) Order, 1961. |
||
2. This Order shall come into operation on the commencement of the Jury Districts Order (No. 2), 1927 (Variation No. 2) Order, 1961. |
||
3. Every issue, whether civil or criminal, which is triable with a jury by the High Court or a judge thereof sitting in the county borough of Cork, by a commissioner de lunatico inquirendo so sitting or by a judge of the Circuit Court to sitting and every issue which is triable by the Central Criminal Court so sitting shall be triable with a jury called from a panel of jurors drawn partly from the county borough of Cork and partly from Jury District No. 1. |
