S.I. No. 177/1964:

COPYRIGHT ACT, 1963 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1964.

COPYRIGHT ACT, 1963 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1964.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 1 of the Copyright Act, 1963 (No. 10 of 1963), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Copyright Act, 1963 (Commencement) Order, 1964.

2. The 1st day of October, 1964, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Copyright Act, 1963 (No. 10 of 1963), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 20th day of July, 1964.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 1st October, 1964, as the date on which the Copyright Act, 1963 (No. 10 of 1963), comes into operation.
