MILLABLE WHEAT REGULATIONS, 1965. |

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933 (No. 7 of 1933), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965, ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), and after consultation with the Minister for Industry and Commerce, hereby make the following regulations : |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Millable Wheat Regulations, 1965. |
||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. |
||
3.--(1) The standard to which wheat must conform in order to be classed as millable shall be as follows, that is to say, such wheat must be-- |
||
(a) commercially clean, |
||
(b) in sound and sweet condition, and |
||
(c) capable, having regard to the methods customarily used in the milling industry for the cleaning and conditioning of wheat, of being milled into flour suitable for human consumption. |
||
4. The Millable Wheat Regulations, 1961 ( S.I. No. 140 of 1961 ) are hereby revoked. |

The Order fixes a revised standard for millable wheat and revokes the Millable Wheat Regulations, 1961. |
