DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS) ORDER, 1968. |

I, MICHEÁL Ó MÓRÁIN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section (26) (1) (f) of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows: |
||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days) Order, 1968. |
||
(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1968. |
||
2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ). |
||
3. The day for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Ballybunion shall, in lieu of the day specified in column (4) at reference number 105 in the First Schedule and in column (4) at reference number 92 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the fourth Tuesday in each month. |
||
4. The day for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Rathkeale shall, in lieu of the day specified in column (4) at reference number 157 in the First Schedule and in column (4) at reference number 138 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the fourth Friday in each month. |
||
5. The day for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Askeaton shall, in lieu of the day specified in column (4) at reference number 148 in the First Schedule and in column (4) at reference number 131 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the fourth Thursday in each month. |
||
6. The days for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Listowel shall, in lieu of the days specified in column (4) at reference number 114 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order, be the second Thursday and fourth Wednesday in each month. |
||
7. The day for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Listowel shall, in lieu of the day specified in column (4) at reference number 99 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the third Wednesday in each month. |
||
8. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE |
||
This Order amends the existing provisions with regard to the days for holding the District Court in Ballybunion, Rathkeale, Askeaton and Listowel. |
