FUELS (REGULATION AND CONTROL OF SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION OF MOTOR SPIRIT) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1979.

The Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 3 of the Fuels (Control of Supplies) Act, 1971 (No. 3 of 1971), and the Energy (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 295 of 1977 ), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Fuels (Regulation and Control of Supply and Distribution of Motor Spirit) (Revocation) Order, 1979.

2. The Fuels (Regulation and Control of Supply and Distribution of Motor Spirit) Order, 1979 ( S.I. No. 172 of 1979 ), and the Fuels (Regulation and Control of Supply and Distribution of Motor Spirit) (Amendment) Order, 1979 ( S.I. No. 180 of 1979 ), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order revokes S.I. No. 172 of 1979 and S.I. No. 180 of 1979 , which hitherto prescribed, subject to certain exceptions, minimum levels for the sale of motor spirit by retailers.
