I, JIM MITCHELL, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 9 (2) of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983), hereby order as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (An Post) (Vesting Day) Order, 1983. |
||
|
2. The first day of January, 1984, shall be the vesting day for An Post. |
||
|

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
This Order appoints 1st January, 1984 as the vesting day for An Post, the State-sponsored body established in pursuance of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 to take over the operation of the national postal services from the Department of Posts and Telegraphs. |
