S.I. No. 257/1984:

INLAND POST AMENDMENT (No. 28) SCHEME 1984.

INLAND POST AMENDMENT (No. 28) SCHEME 1984.

An Post, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act 1983 (No. 24 of 1983) with the consent of the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Scheme:--

1. (1) This Scheme may be cited as the inland Post Amendment (No. 28) Scheme, 1984.

(2) this Scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of October 1984.

2. In this scheme--

(1) "The Principal Warrant" means the Inland Post Warrant 1939 ( S.I. No. 202 of 1939 ).

(2) "Warrant No. 27" means the Inland Post Amendment (No. 27) Warrant 1982 ( S.I. No. 58 of 1982 ).

3. Regulation 49 of the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for £50 of £100.

4. The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 8 of Warrant No. 27) of the entries in the First Schedule hereto.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of the Scheme is to increase the maximum trade charge on Inland C.O.D. parcels to a new limit of £100.
