DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS) (No. 4) ORDER, 1984.

DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS) (No. 4) ORDER, 1984.

I, MICHAEL NOONAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 (1) of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and, after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) (No. 4) Order, 1984.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1985.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The hour for holding the District Court in the district court area of Ardee shall, in lieu of the hour specified in column (4) at reference number 164 in the First Schedule, and in column (4) at reference number 143 in the Second Schedule, to the Principal Order, be 10.00 a.m.

4. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Carlingford shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 165 in the First Schedule, and in column (4) at reference number 144 in the Second Schedule, to the Principal Order, be the third Thursday in February, April, June, September and November at 10.30 a.m.

5. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Drogheda shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 166 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order, be the first, second, third and fourth Friday in each month and the third Tuesday in each month at 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m., and, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 145 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the first and fourth Monday and the third Tuesday in each month at 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.

6. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Dundalk shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 167 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order, be every Wednesday and the third Thursday in January, March, May, July, October and December at 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m., and, in lieu of the hour specified in column (4) at reference number 146 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

7. The hour for holding the District Court in the district court area of Dunleer shall, in lieu of the hour specified in column (4) at reference number 168 in the First Schedule, and in column (4) at reference number 147 in the Second Schedule, to the Principal Order, be 10.00 a.m.

8. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Castleblayney shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 198 in the First Schedule, and in column (4) at reference number 168 in the Second Schedule, to the Principal Order, be the first Tuesday and the third Monday in each month at 11.00 a.m.

9. Business transacted in the District Court, which is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order, shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order provides for a variation in the present arrangements for the holding of sittings of the District Court in the District Court Areas of Ardee, Carlingford, Castleblayney, Drogheda, Dundalk and Dunleer in District No. 6.
