S.I. No. 438/1985:

NURSES ACT, 1985 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1985.

NURSES ACT, 1985 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1985.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him Section 3 of the Nurses Act, 1985 (No. 18 of 1985), hereby orders as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Nurses Act, 1985 (Commencement) Order, 1985.

2. Sections 1 to 4, 6 to 25 and Section 55 of the Nurses Act, 1985 shall come into operation on the 30th day of December, 1985.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into operation certain provisions of the Nurses Act, 1985 preparatory to setting up An Bord Altranais (The Nursing Board) the establishment of which is provided for in the Act.
