NATIONAL ARCHIVES ACT, 1986 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1988.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Taoiseach, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 26 (2) of the National Archives Act, 1986 (No. 11 of 1986 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the National Archives Act, 1986 (Commencement) Order, 1988.

2. The National Archives Act, 1986 (other than section 5) shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1988.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings the National Archives Act, 1986 into operation with effect from 1 June, 1988.
