RACECOURSE (LEVY COLLECTION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1989. |

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Racing Board and Racecourses Act, 1945 (No. 16 of 1945), as amended by section 8 (1) of the Racing Board and Racecourses (Amendment) Act, 1975 (No. 11 of 1975 ), and the Agriculture (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 1980 ( S.I. No. 80 of 1980 ), the Racing Board with the consent of the Minister for Agriculture and Food hereby make the following Regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Racecourse (Levy Collection) (Amendment) Regulations, 1989. |
||
2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1st November 1989. |
||
3. Regulation 16 of the Racecourse (Levy Collection) Regulations, 1977 ( S.I. No. 404 of 1977 ), is hereby amended by the insertion of the following paragraph after paragraph (3) (inserted by the Racecourse (Levy Collection) (Amendment) Regulations, 1986: |

"(4) In this Regulation "agent or servant" means a husband, wife, parent, brother, sister, son, daughter, niece, nephew, or any employee who has been in the bookmaker's continuous employment on the racecourse for a period of not less than 5 years.". |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
These Regulations come into force on 1st November, 1989 and amend the 1977 and 1986 Regulations. |
||
These Regulations set out the definition of the term Agent or Servant for whom a bookmaker may apply to the Racing Board for a Representative Permit. |
