S.I. No. 165/1990:

PRISONS ACT, 1970 (SECTION 7) ORDER, 1990.

I, RAY BURKE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 (1) of the Prisons Act, 1970 (No. 11 of 1970 ), and after consultation with the Visiting Committee to Saint Patrick's Institution, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Prisons Act, 1970 (Section 7) Order, 1990.

2. In this Order "the Order of 1989" means the Prisons Act, 1970 (Section 7) Order, 1989 ( S.I. No. 85 of 1989 ).

3. The period of 12 months beginning on the 28th day of June, 1990, is hereby specified for the purposes of section 7 of the Prisons Act, 1970 (No. 11 of 1970 ).

4. The Order of 1989 is hereby revoked.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 28th day of June, 1990.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order continues in operation Section 7 of the Prisons Act, 1970 for a further period of twelve months.
