EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (MARKETING OF FRUIT PLANT PROPAGATING MATERIAL AND FRUIT PLANTS INTENDED FOR FRUIT PRODUCTION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1994.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 93/64/EEC of 5th July, 1993⁽¹⁾, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Plant Propagating Material and Fruit Plants intended for Fruit Production) (Amendment) Regulations 1994.

(2) The citation "the European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Plant Propagating Material and Fruit Plants intended for Fruit Production) Regulations, 1994 shall include these Regulations.

2. In Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Plant Propagating Material and Fruit Plants intended for Fruit Production) Regulations, 1994, the definition "the Directive" is amended by the deletion of the word "and" where it occurs in that definition and by inserting at the end of the definition the words "and Commission Directive 93/64/EEC of 5th July, 1993⁽⁴⁾." A footnote is added in the form "⁽⁴⁾ O.J. No. L.250/33 of 7-10-1993".
