TRADE UNION (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1995.

The Minister for Enterprise and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 13 of the Trade Union Act, 1871, as adapted by section 2 of the Registry of Friendly Societies Act, 1936 (No. 51 of 1936), section 13 of the Trade Union Act, 1975 (No. 4 of 1975), and the Industry and Commerce (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 19 of 1993 ), hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Trade Union (Fees) Regulations, 1995.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of February, 1995.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. (1) The fees specified in Part 1 of the Schedule to these Regulations shall be payable in respect of matters to be transacted or for the inspection of documents under the Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1990, other than matters to be transacted under the Trade Union Act, 1975 (No. 4 of 1975).

(2) The fees specified in part II of the Schedule shall be payable in respect of matters to be transacted under the Trade Union Act, 1975 .

(3) No fee shall be payable in respect of the services specified in Part III of the Schedule to these Regulations.

5. The Trade Union (Fees) Regulations, 1983 ( S.I. No. 292 of 1983 ), are hereby revoked.

Provided that the Registrar may dispense with the fee in cases where he considers that it is in the public interest so to do.

8. Photocopying Handling Fee ... ... 10 pence per photostat sheet once number of photostat sheets exceeds ten.
9. Printouts of names and address of Trade Unions ... ... 20 pence per Trade Union name and address.
10. Filing of a trade union's annual return £ 50.00
11. Filing of notice of change of registered office. ... ... £ 30.00

3. Any document in respect of which a fee is already chargeable under the Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1990, or under any other Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of these Regulations is to increase the fees to be paid for matters to be transacted or for this inspection of documents under the Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1990.
