District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (Trim) Order, 2001.

The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 ( No. 32 of 1953 ), as amended by section 43 of the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 ( No.39 of 1961 ), section 16 of the Courts Act, 1971 ( No. 36 of 1971 ) and section 29 of the Courts Service Act, 1998 ( No. 8 of 1998 ) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby orders as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days, (Trim) Order, 2001.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 11th of May, 2001.

2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by -

(a) the substitution at reference number 190 for the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) of the following:

“

County of Meath

District Court Area of Kells

Kells -

Second and Fourth Thursday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.

The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Ballinlough, Balrathboyne, Boherboy, Burry, Castlekeeran, Crossakeel, Girley, Kells Rural, Kells Urban, Kilskeer, Loughan, Maperath, Moynalty, Newtown, Staholmog and Teltown in the county of Meath.

and

(b) the insertion in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) at reference number 195 of the following:

“
	Counties of Meath and Kildare	District Court Area of Trim	Trim - First, Second, Third and Fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.	The area comprising - (a) the District Electoral Divisions of Ardnamullen, Ballyboggan, Ballyconnell, Bective, Castlerickard, Clonmacduff, Galtrim, Hill of Down, Innfield, Kilbride, Kilcooly, Kilmessan, Killyon, Laracorr, Rahinstown, Rathmolyon, Summerhill, Trim Rural and Trim Urban in the county of Meath and
				(b) the District Electoral Division of Ballynadrumny in the county of Kildare.

3. The Second Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by -

(a) the substitution at reference number 162 for the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) of the following:

“

County of Meath

District Court Area of Kells

Kells -

Second and Fourth Thursday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.

”,

and

(b) the insertion in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) at reference number 165 of the following:

“
	Counties of Meath and Kildare	District Court Area of Trim	Trim - First, Second, Third and Fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.	The area comprising - (a) the District Electoral Divisions of Ardnamullen, Athboy, Ballyboggan, Ballyconnell, Bective, Castlerickard, Cloghbrack, Clonmacduff, Galtrim, Grennanstown, Hill of Down, Innfield, Kilbride, Kilcooly, Kildalkey, Killaconnigan, Killyon, Kilmessan, Laracorr, Rahinstown, Rathmolyon, Rathmore, Summerhill, Trim Rural and Trim Urban in the county of Meath, and
				(b) the District Electoral Division of Ballynadrumny in the county of Kildare.

4. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 161 of 1970 ), is hereby amended at reference number 10 by -

(a) the substitution for the matter in column (3) of the following -

“ Trim:-

each Friday at 3.00 p.m.”,

(b) the substitution in column (4) of “and Trim.” for “and Swords.”,

and

5. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

This order provides for the re-establishment of the District Court Area of Trim and for the holding of sittings of the District Court at Trim on the first, second, third and fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. and for the holding of the sittings of the District Court at Kells on the second and fourth Thursday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.
