SEA-FISHERIES (PROSECUTION OF OFFENCES) ORDER 2009

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 21st July, 2009.

The Government, on the request of the Attorney General and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 39(1) of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No. 8 of 2006), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Sea- Fisheries (Prosecution of Offences) Order 2009.

2. The day appointed for the purposes of section 39(1) of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No. 8 of 2006) is 1 August 2009, being the day from which the Director of Public Prosecutions is the prosecutor, in lieu of the Attorney General, of sea-fisheries offences as specified in that subsection.
