I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving full effect to Council Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2009 1 of 15 December 2009, hereby make the following regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Revocation of Financial Sanctions concerning Uzbekistan) Regulations 2010. |
||
|
2. The European Communities (Uzbekistan) (Financial Sanctions) Regulations 2009 ( S.I. No. 397 of 2009 ) is hereby revoked. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE |
||

(This note is not part of the Statutory Instrument and does not purport to be a legal Interpretation.) |

|
The effect of this Regulation is to revoke Statutory Instrument No. 397 of 2009 which provided for penalties for breach of financial sanctions imposed by Council Regulation (EC) No. 1859/2005 2 of 14 November 2005 concerning certain restrictive measures in respect of Uzbekistan. Council Regulation (EC) No. 1859/2005 was repealed by Council Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2009 of 15 December 2009. |
