I, MICHAEL NOONAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 20 (4)(a) of the Finance Act 2011 (No. 6 of 2011), hereby order as follows: |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act 2011 (Section 20) (Commencement) Order 2011. |
||
2. The first day of January 2012 is appointed as the day on which section 20 of the Finance Act 2011 (No. 6 of 2011), insofar as it is not in operation, comes into operation. |

This order brings into operation on 1 January 2012 the provisions of section 20 of the Finance Act 2011 , other than subsection (2) which came into force on 1 January 2011. The provisions covered by this Commencement Order provide for substantial reform of the operation of relevant contracts tax (RCT). |
