Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 31st January, 2014.

WHEREAS I, RICHARD BRUTON, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, being in receipt of a copy of a recommendation under subsection (5) of section 41A (inserted by section 11 of the Industrial Relations (Amendment) Act 2012 (No. 32 of 2012)) of the Industrial Relations Act 1946 (No. 26 of 1946) and being satisfied that subsection (3) of section 41A has been complied with and considering it appropriate to do so:

NOW, I, RICHARD BRUTON, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (6) of section 41A (inserted by section 11 of the Industrial Relations (Amendment) Act 2012 (No. 32 of 2012)) of the Industrial Relations Act 1946 (No. 26 of 1946) (as adapted by the Enterprise, Trade and Innovation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 245 of 2011 )) hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Hairdressing Joint Labour Committee Establishment (Amendment) Order 2014.

2. The Schedule to the Hairdressing Joint Labour Committee Establishment Order 2009 ( S.I. No. 45 of 2009 ) is amended by-

(a) substituting the following paragraph for paragraph 1:

"1.Hairdressers employed in any undertaking where hairdressers are employed in Dublin, Dún Laoghaire, Bray or Cork.", and

(b) in paragraph 2:

(i) deleting the definition of "hairdressing undertaking";

(ii) inserting the following definition:

"‘hairdresser’ means a worker who performs hairdressing and includes an apprentice or learner hairdresser.".
