I, LEO VARADKAR, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Regulation (EC) No. 392/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 20091 and Council Decisions 2012/22/EU2 and 2012/23/EU3 , both of 12 December 2011, hereby make the following regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Liability of Carriers of Passengers by Sea) (Amendment) Regulations 2014. |
||
|
2. The European Union (Liability of Carriers of Passengers by Sea) Regulations 2012 ( S.I. No. 552 of 2012 ) are amended by substituting the following for paragraphs (3) to (5) of Regulation 1: |
||
|
"(3) Regulation 10 comes into operation on 23 April 2014.". |
||
|
