Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 27th July, 2021. | ||
I, HEATHER HUMPHRIES, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 (3) of the Private Security Services (Amendment) Act 2021 (No. 19 of 2021), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Private Security Services (Amendment) Act 2021 (Commencement) Order 2021. | ||
2. The 22nd day of July 2021 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Private Security Services (Amendment) Act 2021 (No. 19 of 2021) shall come into operation: | ||
(a) section 1; | ||
(b) section 2(1)(a), other than insofar as it relates to the insertion of the definitions of “court messenger” and “enforcement guard” into section 2(1) of the Private Security Services Act 2004 (No. 12 of 2004); | ||
(c) sections 3 to 8. | ||
