I, DARRAGH O’ BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Land Development Agency Act 2021 (No. 26 of 2021), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Land Development Agency Act 2021 (Remaining Provisions) (Commencement) Order 2022.

2. The 1st day of January 2023 is appointed as the day on which the Land Development Agency Act 2021 (No.26 of 2021) (except in so far as it already is in operation) shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this commencement order is to bring into operation from 1 January 2023, the remaining provisions of the Land Development Agency Act 2021 (No. 26 of 2021), namely subsection (7) of section 55, Part 9 and Schedules 1, 2 and 3.

Statutory Instrument No. 712 of 2021 commenced Part 1 (other than section 11), Part 2 (other than sections 14, 15, 17 and 21), sections 25, 26, 27 and 30, Part 5 and 6 and section 79 of the 2021 Act. Statutory Instrument No. 143 of 2022 commenced sections 11, 14, 15, 17 and 21, Part 3 (except insofar as it was already in operation), Part 4, Part 7 (other than subsection (7) of section 55), Part 8 and Part 10 (except insofar as it was already in operation) of the 2021 Act.
