    FAIR EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNAL
    CASE REF: 204/05FET
    1614/05
    CLAIMANT: Siobhan Denvir
RESPONDENTS: Kieran and Brian O'Kane t/a O'Kanes Super Valu
    DECISION ON APPLICATION FOR REVIEW
I hereby revoke the decision not to accept the responses which relate to complaints of unlawful discrimination on the grounds of religious belief and sex, and direct that the responses as augmented by the document attached to the letter of 26 January 2006 from the respondents' solicitors now be accepted because I am satisfied that it is in the interests of justice so to do.
    Constitution of Tribunal:
Chairman (sitting alone): Mrs M Davey
    Appearances:
The claimant was not present. Her representative, Mrs Jane Griffiths, had indicated that neither she nor her client would be present but they consented to the case proceeding in their absence.
The respondents were represented by Mr C Patton, Barrister-at-Law, instructed by Barry Fox, Solicitors.
    Reasons:
I am satisfied that the respondents took steps to prepare a more detailed response as soon as the rejection of their responses was notified to them. I am also satisfied that the document of 26 January 2006 demonstrates that the respondents have defences to the claims and that the respondents would suffer considerably more prejudice than the claimant if they were not permitted to resist these claims.
    Chairman:
Date and place of hearing: 28 September 2006, Belfast
Date decision recorded in register and issued to parties:
