DECISION
The decision of the tribunal is that the claimant was automatically unfairly dismissed by the respondent that he is entitled to a basic award of £320.00 x 4 = £1,280.00, together with the amount of £790.80 for three weeks' loss of earnings from 5 December 2015 until 31 December 2015 and £300.00 for loss of statutory rights plus an uplift of 50% on £1,090.80 = £545.40. The recalculated total award is £2,916.20.

There was no accepted response from the respondent before the tribunal. He did not appear and was not represented.
1. Reasons for the decision were given at the hearing.
2. In arriving at its conclusion on remedy the tribunal considered the useful analysis of the authorities as set out in the tribunal cases of David Lemon v (1) Kevin Dale t/a as Direct Promotions, (2) Direct Promotions Ltd, (case reference 2612/11), and Emmet Dysart v Alan Glendinning, t/a AG Automotive (case reference 2372/14).
3. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
