AGRICULTURE AND TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION (IRELAND) ACT 1899 - SECT 5 

Power of Department in relation to inquiries, experiments, &c.

5. The Department may make, or cause to be made, or aid in making such
inquiries, experiments, and research, and collect, or aid in collecting, such
information as they may think important for
the purposes of agriculture and other rural industries.
