EDUCATION AND LIBRARIES (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1972 - SECT 58

58.(1) Every person appointed to teach in a grant-aided school or institution
[of further education] shall have such qualifications as may be approved by
the Ministry.

(2) The Ministry may make regulations as to the terms and conditions of
employment of teachers in grant-aided schools and institutions [of further
education].

(3) The terms upon which a teacher (other than a temporary or part-time
teacher) is employed in a grant-aided school or institution [of further
education] shall be set out in an agreement entered into between the teacher
and the employer and the agreement shall be in such form as may be approved by
the Ministry.

(4) The provisions of this Article shall apply to peripatetic teachers and
supply teachers in like manner as they apply to teachers in grant-aided
schools and institutions [of further education].
