111. Any sum (including costs) recoverable in proceedings before a magistrates' court commenced by notice under Part VIII or under any other enactment shall, except where that other enactment provides to the contrary, be recoverable in the same manner as a sum recoverable in proceedings upon complaint [otherwise than on conviction] .... 1968 c.34
