District Council may establish public parks. 5. [A district council established under the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972 (in this Act referred to as "the council")], may, by a resolution to be made in manner herein-after mentioned, determine to establish and maintain any public park or parks for the use and enjoyment of the persons inhabiting [the district of the council]..., and may, for the purposes of this Act, purchase lands, and may accept gifts or grants of land.
