The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 17(2) of the Food Safety Act 1990[1] and of all the powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations: Citation, commencement and extent 1. - (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Contaminants in Food Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 30th December 1999. (2) These Regulations apply to Scotland only. Amendment of the Contaminants in Food Regulations 1997 2. In regulation 2(1) (interpretation) of the Contaminants in Food Regulations 1997[2], for the definition of "the Commission Regulation" there is substituted the following definition:-
