Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(3) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 18(4) of that Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.
1. This Order may be cited as the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority) (No. 2) Order 2010 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it was made.
2. The Scottish Housing Regulator shall be treated, for the purposes of or in connection with any appointment to that body, as if it were a specified authority within the meaning of section 2(1) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003.

This Order provides that the Scottish Housing Regulator shall, for the purposes of appointments to that body, be treated as if it were a specified authority listed in schedule 2 to the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003.
