The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 5(3) of the Prisons (Interference with Wireless Telegraphy) Act 2012(1).

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Prisons (Interference with Wireless Telegraphy) Act 2012 (Commencement) (Scotland) Order 2014 and comes into force on 3rd March 2014.

Appointed day

2.  The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 1 to 4 of the Prisons (Interference with Wireless Telegraphy) Act 2012 is 3rd March 2014.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings sections 1 to 4 of the Prisons (Interference with Wireless Telegraphy) Act 2012 ("the Act") into force in respect of Scotland on 3rd March 2014.

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 19th December 2012. Section 5 came into force on that day.
