The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 38(2) of the High Hedges (Scotland) Act 2013(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the High Hedges (Scotland) Act 2013 (Commencement) Order 2014 and comes into force on 1st April 2014.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the High Hedges (Scotland) Act 2013 (so far as not already in force) is 1st April 2014.

This Order brings into force those provisions of the High Hedges (Scotland) Act 2013 ("the Act") which are yet to be commenced. The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 2nd May 2013 and, in terms of section 38(1) of the Act, sections 34, 36, 38 and 39 of the Act accordingly came into force on 3rd May 2013. The remaining provisions of the Act are brought into force by this Order on 1st April 2014 and the Act will be fully in force on that date.
