    THE APPELLANT

MR JUSTICE LINDSAY (PRESIDENT): This is the preliminary hearing of the appeal of Mr P.M. Reid in the matter Reid against North West Ceilings Ltd t/a Shopspec. Mr Tudor Williams was due to appear for Mr Reid this morning but unfortunately he remains ill and has asked us to approach the matter in his absence on the basis of the skeleton argument which he has provided.

  1. We do think that this matter raises arguable points of law and accordingly, we simply send the matter to go forward to a full hearing.
  2. Whether any party needs any special directions we leave to the future. If they are to seek any special directions they should make them as soon as practicable and long before the full hearing.
  3. In terms of the directions we give, we say skeleton arguments to be exchanged between the parties and also sent to the EAT not less than 21 days before the date fixed for the hearing and the matter is Category B and to take two hours.
