4 April 2007, Central government
The Ministry of Defence refused to provide the complainant with copies of memoranda of understanding dating from 1973 for the supply of armaments and support to the Saudi Arabian armed forces. The Commissioner decided that, in refusing this request, the Ministry of Defence had dealt with it in accordance with Part 1 of the Freedom of Information Act. This decision is currently under appeal to the Information Tribunal.
