Summary: The complainant made separate, related, requests for the cost of three investigations into a long running murder enquiry. The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) responded citing a refusal under section 14(1) of the Act (vexatious request). The Commissioner, on balance, considers that the public authority was entitled to refuse the requests under section 14(1). However, he found procedural errors in the MPS-™s handling of the requests.
Section of Act/EIR & Finding: FOI 14 - Complaint Not upheld, FOI 17 - Complaint Upheld
