Bolton Council (Decision Notice) [2010] UKICO FS50312678 (14 October 2010)

Summary: On 11 January 2010 the complainant requested information from Bolton Council relating to a recognised system for reporting and maintaining defective road signs and road markings and remedying any defects. The public authority provided a response on 22 April 2010. The Commissioner finds that Bolton Council failed to provide an appropriate response to the complainant within the statutory time frame for compliance and has breached section 10(1) of the Act in failing to comply with section 1(1) within twenty working days.
