Summary: The complainant requested the Council to release a copy of its recent contract with KPMG. The Council responded disclosing a redacted version of the contract to the complainant. It informed the complainant that the redacted information comprised of KPMG-™s day rates and the resources required under the contract and that this information had been withheld under section 43(2) of the Act. As the complainant remained dissatisfied, he approached the Commissioner. The Commissioner has considered the complaint and he has concluded that the remaining information is exempt from disclosure under section 43(2) of the Act. He therefore requires no further steps to be taken.
