Summary: The complainant has requested information considered by the Melton Local Development Framework (MLDF) Task Group on 31 August 2011. Melton Borough Council (the council) refused to disclose the documents relying on regulation 12(4)(e) as the information constituted internal communications and the public interest was in favour of maintaining the exception. The council also relied on regulation 12(5)(e) as the information was commercially sensitive. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the council has engaged the exception at 12(4)(e) and that it was correct to conclude that the public interest is in favour of withholding the information.
