Summary: The complainant has requested information relating to the number of complaints handled by the General Medical Council (the -˜GMC-™) on various issues. The GMC provided some information but also applied section 12 of the FOIA. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the GMC has correctly applied section 12 of the FOIA (cost to comply exceeds the appropriate limit). The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps.
