Summary: The complainant has requested information relating to the qualifying standards and ages of people who qualified for shortlisting for the position of gallery assistant at the Victoria & Albert Museum (-the V&A-). The V&A provided information on the essential criteria for the job and how this was assessed and a statistical summary showing candidates grouped into age bands. Any further information was refused on the basis of section 41 and 40(2). The Commissioner-s decision is that the V&A has correctly applied section 41 to withhold the requested information and requires no steps to be taken.
