Summary: The complainant requested information relating to the recruitment of teachers in Northern Ireland being exempted from equality legislation. The Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) took over ten months to respond to the request. The Commissioner finds that OFMDFM breached sections 1 and 10 of the FOIA, but as the request has now been answered he does not require any steps to be taken.
