Summary: The complainant requested information relating to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The public authority informed the complainant it did not hold information relating to the request insofar as it is relevant to overt policing methods. However, it refused to confirm or deny whether it held information within the scope of the request relevant to covert policing by virtue of the exemptions at sections 23(5), 24(2) and 31(3) FOIA. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the public authority was entitled to rely on the exemptions at sections 23(5) and 24(2) FOIA. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps.
