3 September 2014, Local government (Town council)
The complainant made a request for information relating to independent assessors opinions on 8 February 2014. The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) provided some information but refused to comply with some of the request as it considered it to be vexatious under section 14 of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The Commissioner’s decision is that the FOS has correctly applied section 14 FOIA in this case. It was not therefore obliged to comply with the request. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.
FOI 14: Not upheld
