BAILII is celebrating 24 years of free online access to the law! Would you consider making a contribution?
No donation is too small. If every visitor before 31 December gives just £1, it will have a significant impact on BAILII's ability to continue providing free access to the law.
Thank you very much for your support!

19 January 2016, Education (University)
The complainant has requested information relating to the salary paid to a specified member of the University’s staff. The University refused to disclose that information, citing section 40(2) of FOIA by virtue of section 40(3)(a)(i) as a basis for non-disclosure. The Commissioner’s decision is that the University has correctly applied section 40(2) of FOIA to the requested information. The Commissioner therefore requires no steps to be taken by the University.
FOI 40: Not upheld
